Tory.B writes each psalm herself, on a solid wooden panel. No prints, no transfers, no factory work.
Panels start at 60 × 70 cm and go up from there. We use pine and spruce, treat the wood against ageing, paint in premium acrylics and seal the surface with an eco varnish.
Every psalm is made to order, so the verse, language, size and style are yours to choose.

The craft
Built in layers, like a panel painting should be.
Tory.B combines a traditional ground, a calligrapher’s discipline and a few methods that stay in her studio.

Solid wood
Pine and spruce, chosen for the panel’s size and grain. Formats start at 60 × 70 cm.

Levkas gesso ground
The wood is primed with levkas, the chalk-based ground that icon painters have used for centuries. It gives the paint an even, matte surface to sit on.

Calligraphy & lettering
Each verse is planned on the panel, then written by hand. Letter shapes, spacing and rhythm are set for that psalm and that size.

Premium acrylics and the master’s methods
Professional acrylic paints, applied with techniques Tory.B does not disclose. They are part of what makes each panel hers.

Wood protection
An impregnation that protects the wood against ageing before the work is sealed.

Eco varnish
A high-quality eco varnish finishes the surface and protects the paint.

Good to know
Is every psalm really painted by hand?
Yes. Every panel is painted by Tory.B herself. There are no prints, stencils or digital transfers.
What are the panels made of?
Solid pine or spruce. The wood is treated against ageing, primed with a levkas ground, painted in premium acrylics and sealed with an eco varnish.
What sizes can I order?
From 60 × 70 cm. Larger panels are possible; tell us what you have in mind.
How much does a psalm cost?
Prices start at €500. The final price depends on size and on how complex the lettering is. You get an exact quote before anything is started.
Why is everything made to order?
Because each panel is written for one person: their verse, their language, their size. We keep no ready-made stock.
Can I choose the verse, language and lettering?
Yes. Tell us the psalm or passage, the language and the style you like. We will let you know what works best on your panel size.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size and the lettering. We give you a date before you confirm the order.
Do you ship abroad?
Yes, worldwide. Cost and delivery time depend on the country and the size of the panel, and we confirm both before you pay.
How do I look after the panel?
Keep it out of strong direct sun, damp and heat. Dust it with a soft dry cloth and avoid cleaning products.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. Wood and handwriting are never identical twice, so small natural differences are part of the piece. The design is agreed with you first.
Can I cancel or return an order?
It depends on the stage of work and on the consumer law of your country. We explain the terms before you confirm.
